Carll plays Edgar, a colonial-era pastor delivering church announcements filled with absurd 1700s references including parking your horse carriage, a sweet potato and tree bark casserole lunch, sending youth to farming camp, a worship leader being burned as a witch, a youth minister who perished at 15, boiled mercury water treatment, and a man on his deathbed from 'the grievous diarrhea.'
